Blood during Bowl movements, little to no pain?

I’d say about a year ago, I had a bowl movement which resulted in my bowl being very large and hard, and bleeding. I figured that I just tore some tissue. It stopped for a while. It then started again. It would happen for a day or two, and then it just seemed to fix itself. Now this is constant. Blood in the toilet after every movement, with very little pain. When I’m not on the toilet, I have no pain what so ever, and I feel as though there’s nothing wrong with me. There’s not much blood. Just a drip or two every couple seconds which keeps the over all color of the water clear. (This is bright red blood which is a relief for me as I know that it is fresh, and it’s occurring somewhere near the exit, and not somewhere further up which could be internal bleeding) I’m thinking torn tissue that still hasn’t healed from about a year ago, or a small case of internal hemorrhoids. (Internal because there is no visible hemorrhoids) Thinking I should consult a doctor about this soon if it doesn’t quit.

Additionally, I don’t have constant urges to go, neither do I feel like vomiting or having pain in the anus when there are no bowl movements.
This has been occurring for about a month now. Thinking it would just heal itself like any other time, I did nothing about it… until now.

There are many causes for blood in the stool. The most likely cause is hemorrhoids, which I suspect is the cause in your case. You should schedule an appointment with your doctor to get fully evaluated. Blood in the stool can be due to serious conditions, such as cancer. Therefore you would want to make sure it is not something bad first. Good luck.

Has this happened after you’ve eaten beets? This happened to my dad a couple of years ago. He started to freak, then remembered he had eaten beets the night before.
