embrassing but I need help….?

Since I had my kids I have been plagued with bouts of hemorrhoids. I have awful bathroom habits, eating habits and I really don’t take good care of my rectum. Its bad, and I am now in the process of paying closer attention to what goes on down there since I know I have family History of colon cancer, polyps diverticulits and the like. With that said…I have a nasty bout of hemmorhoids right now. They are definitly thrombosed (clotted). I have had them now for about a week, the clotts have been there probably 3 or 4 days. I used a whole pack of PH supositories with no relief. I have had to have the clots removed once before surgically. Is there a way for the clots to go away naturally? I’ve done warmth, cold for swelling…brings the swelling down but the pea size clots remain. Do I have to go to the drs or will they go away on their own?? Only reason I ask is because my boss gives me hell everytime I need a day off due to health issues and I just hate to have to ask her again…

You might need surgery to permanently relieve your problem. All ointments are only for temporary relief.

Ask anyway, its your body not hers and you need to take care of it. Just think what would happen if you just kept waiting and waiting and found out that there was something bad wrong that could have been caught in time to make better and you hadn’t done it. Go the the dr and save yourself some pain and worry.

You really should try to see your doctor, or even go to a

"doc in the box" on your time off from work, and ask for a

female doctor there, but you should get it taken care of.
