Fast hemorrhoid relief? Please?

I’m 18 years old and I am suffering from a terrible hemorrhoid. I can’t move, sit, go to the bathroom, let alone feel comfortable laying down! I scheduled a Doctors appointment, but I need something to subside the pain and discomfort until then. Can someone please help me?

Hi Brdwybby;

To get you through the initial discomfort before you are able to see your doctor, you need to get yourself some Preparation-H. Most drugstore chains will also sell the equivalent type of medication under their own name – these are usually quite a bit cheaper and tend to work just as well. While certainly this type of medication isn’t the most pleasant thing to apply, you will very likely get some relief from it – just follow the instructions on the package.

Be sure that you are open and honest with your doctor regarding this issue. While most haemorrhoids are painful and annoying, they are usually not dangerous or anything to worry about. That being said, you are quite young to have them (perhaps you spend many hours sitting at your job / school) so be sure that your doctor examines you thoroughly. You may also want to ask your doctor if something a little stronger such as a suspension of Nifedipine in petrolatum is right for you.

Best of luck!

i suffered with hemorrhoids for almost 5 years and i can really sympathize with ya. i went to several doctors and nothing they ever gave me did much at all.

i tried all the creams and ointments i even considered surgery. i finally found old hemroid harry online and thought what the heck it’s worth a shot.

for me it was the only thing that made the hemorrhoids go away. it was worth every penny and i would recommend it to anyone cause hemorrhoids as you know are no fun at all.

I also suffered from hemorrhoids in my early twenties.
I know how painful it can be.

In most cases it’s caused by poor eating habits.

You may want to move more towards a natural,
whole foods, high fiber, vegetarian diet.

The best foods for you are those that promote an
easy, smooth bowel movement (grains,
cooked vegetables, dried fruits).

Be sure to drink throughout the day.

Avoid straining, constipation and loose bowel movements.

A good way to start off the day is with a bowel of oatmeal,
raisins and a baked apple.

Clean thoroughly after each evacuation, practice
male kegel exercises, and be disciplined and patient.

In most cases you can heal yourself through good diet.

I agree that a high fiber diet (fruits, vegetables and whole grains) will go a long way to make you better. Also the blood vessels in the anus are engorged with blood because the vessel walls are weak. Take a supplement of Citrus Bioflavonoids. This is the white covering in citrus’, that is under the peel/rind. The Bioflavonoids pills are a source of rutin, hesperidin and others which has been shown to firm up saggy blood vessels in the anus. And rub some natural vitamin E on the hemms and you will get amazing relief PLUS healing.
