*Moms* What did you use to relieve your hemorrhoids? And to help your constipation or have less strain?
Hi there! I was constipated for a few days which isn’t anything really new with me, but with the pregnancy it’s been a little worse. I’m 26 weeks 4 days along. And when I do have the urge to go #2 I have to strain myself pretty much to go and I believe that is what caused my hemorrhoid… Lovely. I swear it’s one thing after another with this pregnancy, lol. But I want to know if I can use preparation h just on the outside. I have to wait for my clinic to open yet but need some relief. I’ve been taking metamucil 2 times a day to help me pass my bowels easier, but nothing really and bought Fiber One cereal yesterday and start eating that. I know that use to help me but we’ll see if it will with being pregnant. If you have any other ideas that would be great. Thank you so much and sorry for TMI.

You could also try a glycerin suppository for instant relief (ask your OB first), then drink lots of water and eat your fiber till you become regular! Also there is not much you can do for hemorrhoids besides trying not to strain till they heal a bit, cream or looking to have them removed.. The joys of pregnancy good luck momma..
Too Add:I was very constipated also during my OB said I could take a break from my prenatal vitamins for a bit and take Flintstones (less iron) you could always ask about that.
cortisone is a quick fix for the itch and burn… drink more water and add fiber to your diet… hemorrhoids are a constant problem with me too
i just had my daughter 10 days ago and also have a 20 month old and can tell u that i had hemrhoids before giving birth and i advise you be prepared for after delivery! with my son i couldnt stand up straight for a week. with my daughter 10x worse i just layed awake at night and cried they hurt so bad. i didnt sleep for the first 4 days after giving birth. i hope urs arent as bad as mine. but preperation h is fine to use. after delivery the hospital will problly give u tucks pads. and they gave me this numbing cream. good luck
When I got hemorrhoids I increased my fluids and took warm oatmeal baths (Aveeno makes a colloidal oatmeal that comes in packets at the store). I also stopped using toilet paper and switched to wet wipes which really made my hemorrhoids feel better. Good luck!
I used the Fiber supplement and now I cant remember the name ..but it starts with a C and it comes in orange flavor. I also used tuck pads. You can find those in the pharmacy section at your supermarket.
I eat those one a day prunes. They are pretty yummy. Or I bet prune/plum juice would help the constipation too.
