Raw, itchy, burning, vagina with Bumps around vaginal opening! Please Help!?
Painful Red, Swollen, Itchy Vagina with Sever medium sized bumps on both sides of the labia near the opening?
Okay so technically this is 4am Friday morning. I started getting an itchy vagina (all over) around Tuesday. I didn’t go to the doctor and it has only gotten worse. Yesterday I noticed several bump type areas on my labia. Some feel pretty close to the opening of my vagina. There are about 7 or 8, but it’s hard to tell because they are really close together! They are also not little small bumps, but not BIG either! I have tried mashing one, but nothing comes out. I really can’t explain what they feel like. However, These bumps are sore. My whole vagina is sore for that matter. I am raw and torn in several parts from scratching. I have had yeast infections in the past, but I haven’t noticed much discharge and have never had symptoms this bad before, and never any bumps. Keep in mind though I did take 3 antibiotics last month for a sinus infection before I finally got over it. This burning pain is so bad, however, that I cannot sleep and basically cannot function. I don’t have insurance, however, I am going to try and make an appointment at the dr. tomorrow! I cannot live with this! I have almost wondered do I have herpes…but that would be almost impossible. My husband and I have been together for 5 1/2 years and we are each others only partner. On top of that he has no bumps or itching and burning! I bought some monistat 3 cream last night, but I am feeling no relief. On top of all of this my hemorrhoids have been bothering me as well for the past week, so it’s not only my vagina, but my bottom too! Does anyone know what this itchy, burning, bumpy stuff could be? Serious Answers Only! Thanks!
HOW ELSE IS HPV OR GENITAL WARTS CAUSED IF ANYONE THINKS THAT MAY BE WHAT THIS IS? MY HUSBAND AND I ARE EACH OTHERS ONLY PARTNERS EVER!

If you and your husband are each other’s only partner ever, it’s hard to say.
But here are a couple explanations.
HPV can be caused merely by skin to skin contact. Even if the guy wears a condom you can still get HPV, because a man’s scrotum can still touch you and give you HPV. Which you say isn’t the case, because you’ve been each other’s only partner.
But, you can also get HPV from oral sex. So, maybe you guys didn’t have intercourse until you were together, but it’s possible that if either of you gave oral sex to someone, touched someone’s genitals with your hand and then touched your own genitals or your mouth, eyes, etc. Then that could be how you got HPV.
The thing is, HPV can remain dormant in the body for SEVERAL years. So, you could’ve gotten it and it didn’t show up in your pap tests for a long time until either stress or illness caused it to spring up. But also, there’s not really a way to test MEN for HPV so, if your boyfriend/husband was tested for STDs, they certainly couldn’t have tested him for HPV. And men do not receive the Gardisil shot in the United States yet.
The thing that sucks is, the Gardisil shot doesn’t cover all types of HPV (if you got the shot) and if you had the types of HPV Gardisil is supposed to protect against dormant in your system before getting the shot, the shot wouldn’t even cover them.
Thrush, as someone suggested, is also a good possibility. Thrush is caused by Candida or yeast. Which is a pain in the butt, but luckily is treatable.
Then again, HPV is "treatable" and sometimes "goes away on its own." As I’ve learned and read.
There are ways of making Doctor payments easier for you if you don’t have insurance, I’ve been there. You really need to discuss this with the billing office at your clinic. And seriously, don’t let them boss you around.
hunny, no point asking this to yahoo users, instead you should visit your GP.
1. Keep your genital area clean and dry. Use plain, unscented soap.
2. Avoid colored or perfumed toilet tissue and bubble bath.
3. Wear cotton panties or pantyhose with a cotton crotch. Avoid panties made from synthetic materials. For infants and toddlers, change diapers often.
4. Change out of wet clothing, especially wet bathing suits or exercise clothing, as soon as possible.
5. Avoid feminine hygiene sprays and douches.
6. Eat yogurt with live cultures or take lactobacillus acidophilus tablets when using antibiotics. Check with your doctor.
7. Cleanse by wiping or washing from front to back (vagina to anus) after urinating or having a bowel movement.
8. Lose weight if you are over weight.
9. Keep your blood sugars under good control if you have diabetes.
It is also helpful to:
1. Avoid scratching, which will only aggravate the problem.
2. Avoid overexertion, heat, and excessive sweating.
3. Delay sexual activity until your symptoms get better or at least use a lubricant during intercourse.
You need to see a physician, but my hunch is you have Herpes. If this is what you have, your husband needs to be checked.
herpes is a possible cause, and can on rare occasions be transmitted from mouth to genitals.
it is also possible for it to be thrush.
try sounds weird but natural yogurt (live) would help the thrush and a warm salt bath would ease the herpes. the herpes would respond to acyclovir ointment you can get at a chemist.
good luck honey
i have the same feeling right now, its so bad i cant sleep i am only young and have only had one sexual partner i hope its not serious for my sake and yours!
