Bleeding from hemorrhoids can be very stressful, especially if you don’t know exactly what is causing the bleeding. Most of the time the bleeding is minimal and bright red, but bleeding from the rectal area can indicate many different things, some of them much more dangerous than hemorrhoids. If this is a new symptom for you, or if you have never been diagnosed be sure to see your doctor to make sure your symptoms are hemorrhoids and nothing else.
Are Your External Hemorrhoids Bleeding?
External hemorrhiods are usually the ones that can really hurt. They protrude from the opening of the rectum and you can feel them when you wipe. If they become very inflamed they can start to bleed. Effective hemorrhoids bleeding treatment for the external type is fairly straight forward. You should blot the area with a clean white tissue or cloth, never wipe. Then you should use a wipe specifically formulated to relieve hemorrhoid pain and swelling such as Preperation H or Tucks. Applying ice to the affected area will also help to reduce the swelling and to keep the hemorrhoid from erupting again.
Do You Have Hemorrhoids Internal Bleeding?
Internal hemorrhoids can be a little bit scarier than external ones. They generally don’t hurt and the only symptom you get is often the fact that hemorrhoids cause bleeding when you are having bowel movements. Once your doctor has ruled other diseases out and has diagnosed hemorrhoids you need to know how to get internal ones to heal so that you can end the bleeding.

End Hemorroids Bleeding
The best way to get piles (or hemorrhoids) to heal is to treat the cause. Many women get hemorrhoids during pregnancy because of the extra pressure in the pelvic area, but these often resolve themselves after the birth of the baby. The other main cause is straining during bowel movements. This is the root cause that needs to be treated in order to allow your hemorrhoids to heal.
In order to stop straining and to get softer more comfortable bowel movements you need to add fiber to your diet and get more exercise. You should aim to get at least 20 to 25 grams of fiber in you diet every day. If you are very deficient in your fiber intake currently then you will want to build up gradually otherwise you will end up with diarrhea and gas which can actually make your hemorrhoids worse. The best way to add fiber to your system is by making gradual changes that you will be able to live with. Start by eating 1 piece of fruit per day or making 1 meal half vegetables. You will be amazed at the results.
If you have bleeding hemorrhoids you can generally treat them effectively at home. Just be sure to get checked out by a doctor to make sure that is the root cause.
