I’ve tried 3 different treatments.
1. Witch Hazel and Vaseline
Result: More burning than I began with.
2. Preparation H Hemorrhoid Cooling Gel
Result: Instant Cooling from the annoying itching but it only lasted about 20 minutes.
3. Preparation H Maximum Strength
Result: Lasting Relief but as soon as I stopped using it, they came back more vigorous than before.
My main problem is the itching! They aren’t really painful but they itch soooo bad!
I’ve had them for about 3 years now.
I’ve kind of determined that I have internal hemorrhoids because I have blood in my stool sometimes and my rectum just feels a bit swollen.
I also have 2 little polyps around the anus that I think are external but they aren’t severely thrombosed…just like BB pellet sized. I can I see swollen veins.
I KNOW I should go to a doctor. But it’s hard to even tell my parents about it to get medicine! How am I supposed to tell a doctor AND let him see my anus?
I’m such a prude. I don’t want some doc prodding around down there ; n ;

I’m 16 years old and I have external hemorrhoids. I got them from constipation because I don’t eat very well. They don’t ever hurt and are pretty small but I don’t like having them, it looks gross. They aren’t very big, I bought the Preparation H ointment yesterday, does that work well? I didn’t really know what to buy because I don’t need anything for relief as they don’t cause me any discomfort, I want something to shrink them.
Will I need surgery for my hemorrhoids to go away forever? Can they go away on their own if I start eating more fruits and vegetables? If so, how long can it take for them to be gone?

hi there, i am not sure about if this lump is hemorrhoids or not, but this morning i felt for the first time like a size of chickpea or little greater and it hurts me when i take a seat, or sometime i walk faster, and i am afraid if i get constipation, is their any relief or permanent cure for it? i bought preparation H but i heard that it is just temporary relief i didn’t try it yet, please help.

ive had this "thing" for a couple months on and off…really bad right now…and i dont know if its a hemorrhoid, anal fissure or anal fistula…..its red, a lump on the outside of my anus…its kind of got a hole in the middle of it….itssss sooo painful, getting a little bigger. it burns. preparation h isnt giving me any relief…what is it?

I am currently breast feeding my 12 week old and I have a horrible hemorrhoid that I got while giving birth I wanted to know if it is okay to take one or even a half of valium while breast feeding?/ I am in serious pain and would like some relief I have tried preparation H and ibuprofen with no avail.
I thought it was for pain..did not know thatnks for your answers.
Obber..I know a valium is not going to heal it..I am looking to help the pain..and if valium is not for pain then I am not going to take it let alone if it is not safe..thats why I asked..I am not looking for a tranquilizer.

And when I do have the urge to go #2 I have to strain myself pretty much to go and I believe that is what caused my hemorrhoid… Lovely. I swear it’s one thing after another with this pregnancy, lol. But I want to know if I can use preparation h just on the outside. I have to wait for my clinic to open yet but need some relief. I’ve been taking metamucil 2 times a day to help me pass my bowels easier, but nothing really and bought Fiber One cereal yesterday and start eating that. I know that use to help me but we’ll see if it will with being pregnant. If you have any other ideas that would be great. Thank you so much and sorry for TMI.

I want a CURE, not a relief. I want something that will permenantly cure hemorrhoids that doesn’t involve surgery. I’ve already ried Preparation H, various creams, and stuff like that.
By the way, I already eat 25 grams of fiber a day at least, drink plenty of water, and solved my constipation problems, so I already know how to keep it away once it’s gone.
It is an external hemorrhoid.

I have had hemorrhoids for 5 years now, I am now 31. They have never gone away. They used to hurt for an hour or so. Now they throb constantly all day long. I want to take a blowtorch to the hemorrhoids and then die from the resulting shock of pain.
Preparation H does nothing. Suppositories do nothing. Tucks does nothing. Maximum strength everything does nothing. Witch Hazel provides 10 minutes of relief. Stretching, touching toes provides 5 minutes of relief. You name it, it has failed.
The doctor said to eat bananas, rice and apple juice and gave me no additional medicine. Other than some worthless information about sitting in a bath. Something stupid called "sitz bath." What a laughable useless remedy that turned out to be.
Everything having to do with hemorrhoids is a laughable,useless remedy in my case. You must excuse my derisiveness, it comes from years of constant pain.
The only thing I haven’t tried baking soda to dry the evil bastard out, it sounds painful, or like it won’t work.
I did discover that excess caffeine makes it worse and also alcohol. Wow. There goes all of life’s enjoyment. I can’t sit, I can’t stand, I can’t sleep, I can’t do nothing. All I can do is walk. Walk, walk walk. That’s the only safe place. I want to kill hemorrhoids. No, actually I want a painkiller injection or numbing agent.
What idiot who designed the human body put nerves in hemorrhoids.

I believe I have an external hemorrhoid…one of the thrombosis ones…or however you say it…it just sprang up yesterday…today it’s borderline excruciating…I need some suggestions on which position to lay to reduce the swelling…I really can’t do much about it right now…I have no Preparation H, and the only medicines I have are Advil and Aspirin…which I read, only increases the blood flow and would make matters worse…I just took a warm bath, and that did nothing….I put ice on it…it helped some…but it’s awkward doing that, lol…and plus it’s too cold, obviously, and only made me more miserable…I figured if I could lay a certain way, it’d reduce the swelling and hopefully I could get some relief and make it go away quicker…sorry, this is so embarrassing and painful…I just want some help…I realllllllllllly appreciate the advice, guys and gals…thanks!
There’s been no bleeding…also, is aspirin good or bad to take…’cause now I’ve read something saying it’s a blood thinner and that it would help…
This is definitely not a result of anal intercourse…as I’ve never even done that…I think it’s from being constipated…thanks for the laugh though…

I’m 13 years old, and I think I have a hemorrhoid. I’ve researched them, because I was having the symptoms. (Itchy anus, trouble going to the bathroom.) I used a mirror to check it out, and what do you know! It looks like a big hemorrhoid to me.
I’m actually scared. I know it’s no biggie, I’m not going to die, etc. But how to I tell my mom?

I have been using Preparation H for about a week now to relieve my hemmoroids. I find the taste is very oily and fishy. I have overcome this by spreading the Preparation H on a piece of toast bread and it helps me tolerate the taste. The only problem now is that it has not relieved my hemmoroids at all. It has made my stomach sick and also caused me to have diahrehea. Has anyone had any success with this product cause I have had none. I even tried to take the additional yellow applicator with the holes in it and place it firmly in the anal end of a banana to take. Still no relief and stomach and poo problems. Anyone have any suggestions for a home remedy. I am about willing to go the doctor. Thank you.

I am 37 weeks pregnant. Last weekend the baby was really low causing a lot of pressure and now I have hemorrhoids. I need fast relief. I spent all day yesterday and so far all of today using preparation h suppositories and cream and wiping with witch hazel pads and mostly just laying around on my left side, but they don’t seem to be shrinking and are quite painful. Anybody know of any remedies that work? I don’t need to know what causes them or how to prevent them ….I need relief before I go into labor and have even more pressure to add to the trouble.
