I would go with the hemorrhoid ointment.

Ok, this may be TMI, but I had a anal fissure, after having a barium enema, and it turned into a hockey puck, that finally passsed, painfully, and with a fissure, when ever the anus has rroids or tears or irritation, it comes with a friend, every time you wipe, you have azzy kicking itching. I had to have…………ready. a internal splincterotomy, yeah it exists, they put your butt numb, and do a spinal anesthesia, put you in stir-ups and just cut the muscle, it gave me so much relief, immediatly, you would think it would still be a issue, but i have never had a problem since. Both would help, but the hemo ointment is just for your case. At the mean time, try using heat to speed up the recovery.
